It’s a decent bourbon with very sweet to the nose with notes of Caramel and Cherries and just a faints bit of dark chocolate. The mouth feels good but has more heat than expected for a 95 proof. The first notes that I taste are caramel, baking spicy, but with a over welling floral taste the quickly becomes fresh summer cut grass sweet, but with nots that are salty, buttery, liquorice, sherry, wheat/grain and Smokey. The finish again was a little warm for a low proof. It’s finished a bit out of synch flavor but all in all not awful. I also had notes of oily, waxy, and leathery on the tongue after the finish. It’s always a matter of what you like and I am never a fan of an herbal/grassy/corriander note in bourbon nor am I a lover of mint or Rye. For me it’s just not my cup of bourbon but I could see the right person this being a very good bourbon. I promise I have had much worse and a whole lot better.
