I am a little surprised by the comments here. One of the prevailing thoughts is, "Great for the price." On sale, with (2) 50ml taster bottles of their other products it was ~$40. So yes, for someone whose palate is maybe a bit intimidated by scotch, or whiskey in general, it can be difficult to find a smooth, palatable bottle for less than $34-40. And thus the comments. But for someone who does enjoy scotch, this is nowhere near a $40 value. The nose is nice and refreshing, color is beautiful and crisp, but the flavors are simply flat. There are a number of wonderful notes there, predominantly citrus and honey, but they are extremely muted. I am very interested to try the higher-tier Glenmorangie products because I see wonderful potential here. But my honest opinion is that this is a fantastic scotch for people who don't really enjoy scotch. If you want something smooth and palatable then yes, the price tag is not bad at all. But if you do enjoy scotch, there are a number of better options for a similar price or even less. For instance, Auchentoshan is around the same price, has some similar elements, but more boldly asserts those elements into their product.

Nailed it. I'd always prefere Auchentoshan over Glenmorangie 10!
