NEAT
NOSE - Vanilla and Caramel
PALATE - Surprisingly slightly viscous on the palate with vanilla and caramel notes with the caramel being more prominent. I don’t get any baking spices, “rye-like spice”, or a bite at all. This is extremely smooth on the palate and very sweet. There’s a unique note to it as well that I can’t pick up on; I imagine its due to this being a 100% rice whiskey because I haven’t picked up on it in any bourbon or rye.
FINISH - Short, Sweet
BUY? - Yes. While it has similar bourbon notes, it’s unique enough to warrant a purchase to see if you like it. It’s very similar to bourbon actually.
BUY AGAIN? - I would, but I’d probably pick up more Single Barrels as I come across them as those are much better.
