Tullamore, Tullamore, Tullamore D.EW. I got bombarded by that ad for this Irish whiskey in the weeks leading up to St. Patrick’s Day, and obviously it worked since I went out and bought a bottle. Oh, and it was on sale at a supermarket for almost half off. I’m not a fan of Irish whiskey, but find this drinkable and even a little enjoyable. But, it’s light on everything. Light on aroma, light in body, and light on flavor. If you’re looking for the deep, rich flavors or the complex, long finish of a good bourbon or rum, look elsewhere.
