Thunder Canyon Blended Malt Whiskey

Blended Malt — Tuscon Arizona, USA

Reviewed August 18, 2024
3.25
3.25 out of 5 stars
From what the bartender told me, this is a 6 month aged blended malt whiskey. This is their first roll out of whisky before releasing a wheated whisky. Its young and blended which doesnt mean its without good notes. On the nose, its light with high vegetal and mild fruity notes. Very pleasant Front opens up, but with a soft bitterness adding to the flavor. This does dull my liking from the rest of the fruity flavor that is present. In the back, I do get a mild char/smoky taste. **Bartender said it was a Char 3 barrel** The biters disappear, and the fruity notes remain in tact. I sipped this neat this review, but I would probably chill it over marble rocks, or kust use it as a mixer. Its not bad, but its got potential. Just need to spread the word.
