Just like Skeptic Gin, Skeptic Vodka is smooth! This has become my go to vodka for all mixed drinks. You can pour heavy handed drinks with Skeptic Vodka and there is next to zero burn, regardless of how much Vodka you use. I'm not alcohol expert, but after looking at their website, I think I found the key why their spirits are so smooth. "Skeptic Vodka is distilled from midwestern corn using our cold vacuum still well below room temperature, which preserves the delicate flavors and efficiently removes the compounds that contribute to burn. This impossibly smooth vodka is not only cold vacuum distilled, but also carbon filtered 8x through our proprietary blend of ultrapure carbon using a unique process we developed that differs from how most other vodkas are carbon filtered". So it seems like the trick is multiple carbon filtering and cold vacuum distilling. It may sound like industry jargon, but I think they are on to something here.
