So I've nipped this before from another friend, but someone else gave me a small vial of this so I'll give it a formal rating since its been a hot minute since I've put anything on distiller....
Nose is sweet and a honey bomb...like, to the point of thinking "is this whiskey or is is this some April fools thing in the middle of winter" Maybe some funky cheesy character too...its unique to say nothing else...and to be fair, it isn't offensive, but damn is it sweet.
Flavor is also incredibly sweet and while it is honey forward, there is a bit more than 'just honey'. The sweetness hits up front but then mellows out into some brown sugar/mild spice combination...but *very* little oak character. It is interesting, and to be perfectly honest, quite enjoyable...but the honey barrel is still dominant...too much to be fair.
Syrupy...short finish. I want to like this pour. I've found some Nulu pours to be very interesting and others to be very mundane...this is the latter, and unfortunately at a steep price point. The honey needs to be more of an accent and not the show...
