Firmly in the solid value range. The nose is predominantly an oaky smell with a tinge of spice in there with a bit of a pine scent as well. The spice cones through a bit more on the taste, and has a bit of a harsher bite on the finish. A touch of sweetness comes through as it sits on the tongue. This is a pretty standard whiskey and nothing special, but at its price it is a solid choice.
