I won’t bash around the bush, this is a cheap whisky and it tastes like one. But it is also an ok whisky, with a vanilla sweetness that that is more than palatable when neat! With a drop of water it is genuinely quite enjoyable to sip at, but I would not recommend this over rocks.
It does have that paint thinner taste that a lot of cheap whiskys do, but in comparison to the Tesco Special Reserve, this is genuinely ok and cheaper at £14.
Grant’s Triple Wood is shabby, but not too shabby. And I mean that in the literal sense, not litotes.
