Initially, I got bandaid and medicinal smell from the bottle, then the sweetish-peaty and smoky aroma. There's some hint of pear as well. Black pepperiness in taste and feeling in the mouth. Some back flavor of sweet anise. While it does have an after-bite of a nip/pepperiness to it, and that mild smokiness, it's not overpowering and has some smoothness. Rating based on neat sipping.
