Nose: Light and crisp. Vanilla, pears, a little grainy, and walnut. Palate: Marshmallow sweetness with a bit of butter cookie. Orchard fruits, mostly apple and pear. Delicate smoke. Finish: Short with orchard fruits and a warm spice. Summary: Arguably the best intro to Japanese whiskey. Won't break the bank and gives a good idea of what to expect in other bottles.
