Review #41 - Whisk(e)y #27
Tasted as part of the free sample offer in Budapest airport, therefore I cannot provide a detailed aroma description as I usually do.
Nose - sweet, vanilla, honey, round, fruity, ripe red fruit, influence is much more evident than on the black label, the flavours being less proeminent but integrated much more seamlessly.
Palate - same idea as on the nose is replicated on the palate, sweet, soft, vanilla, ripe red fruit, honey, some oak, round, a bit more refined than the black label, perhaps with some dried fruit as well.
Finish - short medium, well rounded, sweet, fruity, a bit of alcoholic spice, but also some dried fruit on the after-taste.
More refined and much better than the Gold Label, but I am unsure whether it is worth double the price of the Black Label.
