Definitely not my kinda whiskey.
At first my nose and palate was hit hard with a flavour I struggled to describe. It wasn't until I read the description here I recognised it as seaweed.
As I neared the end of the dram it wasn't as overwhelming. An acquired taste perhaps?
Still, wouldn't be my first choice if I saw it again.

Peat is certainly an acquired taste. When did you last lick the inside of a cold chimney? See, me neither. It's the shock of the unfamiliar, which makes Laphroaig so special. Some love it, some hate it.
