Not a fan of main line Cruzan Rums, but I have been surprised by their specialty bottles from time to time. This is not one of those surprises. I was interested in the blend of 30% 20 year, 22% 16 year and 48% 13 year rums. However, this was disappointing. Tastes as if they added some artificial flavoring. Based on some of their other aged rums, I was expecting quite a decent find, only to come away disappointed. Goes in smooth with some nice flavors initially on the palate, but quickly transitions to a harsh chemical/medicinal finish. At this point, it isn't bad, but it isn't worth the $40. But this is also after only 2 ounces pour of the neck. I'll revisit after it breathes for a week.
