Review #295 Glass: Glencairn, rested 15 minutes. Color: Medium amber. Nose: Apple, apricot, plums, raisins. Palate: Clove, baking spice, more fruit. Finish: Long length with medium heat. Splash: A few drops of water bring out some oak tannins. Overall: 9/10 - My first bottle of Shenk’s, incidentally tasted in a Michter’s glass. Even at the lower proof, this bourbon has a finish that won’t quit, which goes a long way in my book. The nose and palate are also impressive. Michter’s keeps hitting it out of the park with their limited releases.
