Say hello to barrel 000141627! N: Rich caramel and vanilla. No burn. Smells older, but not quite musty. P: Deep rich caramel and vanilla again explodes on the initial sip followed by a wave of oak that threatens to go a little bittter as the tannins roll in and then pulls back right before it gets there! Next sip is sweeter and then a bit drying, but then releases your mouth again. Creamy, oily, coating, one of the best mouthfeels I've had. I think 107 proof is perfect for this one. F: Pleasant finish that lingers. I would only classify this as a medium finish which is the first slight disappointment I get out of this Bourbon. If you're a Beam fan, a fan of the 7 year Baker's or just like a really classic Bourbon, this one is for you.
