⚠️ [NOTE 1: Price reflects one 750-mL bottle purchased and delivered via DoorDash (excluding all taxes, shipping/delivery, fees, gratuity/tips, discount codes, etc.).]
⚠️ [NOTE 2: Tasting notes below reflect approximately 4.5 oz consumed neat at room temperature in a clean Glencairn glass from a recently purchased (and recently opened) bottle, over the course of approximately 45 minutes from start to finish. Two drops of bottled water were added roughly halfway through.]
👁 OPTICS | Deep copper in color. Thin, oily, and slightly cloudy/opaque.
👃 OLFACTION | Unmistakable sherry and overripe/dried fruit (particularly grapes/raisins, plums, bananas, and—hidden away underneath—occasional red apples and pears). Notes of honey-drizzled baked bread, cereal, and vanilla. Mild ethanol fumes. Honey and vanilla become significantly more pronounced upon introduction of two water drops.
👅 PALATE | Incredible tip-of-the-tongue burst of honeyed sweetness, which sadly vanishes quickly...but just as rapidly transitions pleasantly into a refreshingly crisp blend of pear and (mild) banana. Strong baking spiciness and alcohol "heat" persist throughout entire experience, particularly upon swallowing. Ghostly hints of vanilla. Upon adding two water droplets, sherry suddenly dominates the palate (to an obnoxious degree), while spiciness and "heat" subside dramatically.
👄 MOUTHFEEL | Relatively thin, lightweight, and oily. Quite sticky and mouthcoating, though less so after adding water.
🏁 FINISH | Dominated by sherry and baking spices, along with moderate pear crispness/dryness, with significant "tingliness" and "heat" persisting well beyond final sip and swallow (prior to adding water droplets).
