Batch 23-02, 110.1 proof Glencairn, neat, rested 15 min NOSE: butterscotch, caramel, maple, and then the oak hits you. Very solid nose. PALATE: caramel, cinnamon, vanilla, sweet, oak again. It’s pretty smooth at 110 proof. FINISH: sweet oak lingers the most, vanilla, baking spice THOUGHTS: when I first opened this bottle I thought it was way too much oak. Now that it has sat for a couple months, it has really opened up. This is just a wonderful dessert bourbon. AFFORDABILITY RATING: 3 out of 5. At $70 it seems a little steep but i think its worth the price. I’ll probably look to get another.
