Table & Vine store pick
Glass: Glencairn, rested 15 minutes.
Color: Medium amber.
Nose: Caramel, vanilla, with a strong raisin note.
Palate: Cinnamon and baking spice.
Finish: Medium length with low heat.
Splash: No new flavors are revealed.
Overall: 7/10 - This store pick seemed somehow muted, starting with the color which while medium amber seemed somehow pale. The nose had an interesting raisin note that I don’t usually get from ER10, but the notes in the palate seemed muted and watered down. The finish likewise seemed to have less heat than the average ER10.
Maybe I’ve been drinking too many higher proof whiskeys lately, but I opened this specifically for its lower proof.
