Still very new to this hobby so take that as you will. This is my first experience with such a high proof whiskey and mind you, it did absolutely assault my young pallet. At first I was like, this is not for me, but the more I sipped it the more I came to like and appreciate it. Once I got use to the burn, I started to pick up subtle flavors hidden in the fire and quite enjoyed the super long finish. If anything, this has taught me that this hobby is a journey and given time and patience the pallet will evolve along that journey and open up a world of tasty adventure before your eyes. Cheers!
