Review #337 140.2 proof Glass: Glencairn, rested 15 minutes. Color: Medium amber. Nose: Maple and caramel notes. No ethanol burn. Palate: Cinnamon red hots, clove, more maple notes. Finish: Long and hot. Splash: A sweet oak note appears. Overall: 9/10 - I’d like to think I’d rate this just as high if trying blind. The maple notes are fantastic, and the finish is the only place that the hazmat proof really shows. This is a great example of a proof bomb done right, and for slightly less than last year’s 17 year hazmat light whiskey. I’m looking forward the the 19 year expression next year.
