Review #338 Glass: Glencairn, rested 15 minutes. Color: Medium amber. Nose: Caramel, vanilla, ripe red apple. Palate: Cinnamon, baking spice, some black pepper. Finish: Long length wirh medium heat. Splash: An sweet oak note appears. Overall: 7.5/10 - This was a neck pour so may open up over time. Finding Barrell marked down is unusual, and I like PX Sherry cask finishes so I figured I’d give this a try. I’m not picking up any of the sherry influence on this first try, so hopefully that makes an eventual appearance. The Distiller rating was around 3.75/5 when I wrote this, and that’s also what I rate it.
