Review #341 Costco store pick, aged 8 years, 124.4 proof Glass: Glencairn, rested 15 minutes. Color: Medium amber. Nose: Peanut, caramel, dark fruit. Palate: Clove and cinnamon red hots. Finish: Long and lots of heat. Splash: A sweet oak note appears. Overall: 8/10 - The nose on this one and the sweet oak note were pleasant surprises. The finish is about right for the proof, but some more complexity in the nose would go a long way.
