Review #370
Glass: Glencairn, rested 15 minutes.
Color: Crystal clear.
Nose: Juniper with lemon and otyer citrus notes.
Palate: Juniper and citrus, but also cardamom tea and black pepper.
Finish: Medium length with medium heat. The pepper note lingers longest.
Splash: No new flavors are revealed.
Overall: 8.5/10 - This is both a classic dry gin and a nice surprise. The cardamom tea notes (think Earl Grey) were pleasant without being overpowering and the black pepper note was a pleasant surprise.
The only things missing were more complex botanical flavors, but maybe that's my palette rather than the gin.
