Review #74 - Whisk(e)y #54
Bought in a 50ml bottle for around 7 euros.
Chill-filtered - No
Natural Colour - Yes
ABV - 46%
Aspect - Orange-amber colour, long, viscous legs in glass.
Nose - Apricot, peach, malt, nutty tones (walnut, hazelnut), oak, honey, cinnamon, apple, quite a bit of alcohol as well. Lovely nose.
Palate - Creamy, sweet, aromatic, caramel, vania, stone fruit, prickly...sharp spice on the mid-palate (mostly cinnamon).
Finish - Med finish, a bit hot, alcohol burn, spice, malt, hazelnut, walnut, toasted tones. After-taste showcases some herbal-green notes.
Very unique and interesting aromatics, yet it seems too youthful, sharp and unrefined at times. Interesting tasting experience nonetheless, with a great nose.
