Review #387
Glass: Glencairn, rested 15 minutes.
Color: Medium amber.
Nose: Fruit and caramel.
Palate: Connamon and clove with some fruit notes.
Finish: Long length with medium heat.
Splash: A sweet oak note appears.
Overall: 9/10 - The finishing casks really had an influence here as it’s unmistakably fruity from beginning to end. The finish is long for 103 proof but this definitely puches above its weight. I’m curious why they didn’t release this expression at a higher proof, but I really can’t complain.
