Wow. The nose is amazing. I can see where some may say it is too sweet, but this is something I want and expect from this bottling. No age statement is necessary- this is exquisite and much better than the standard 18 year old.
I'm gonna bust open the 25 year in a few minutes and can only hope it trumps this one just for the sake of price point alone.

@Pranay- yeah, I could've finished the 3 remaining that I have about 2-3 weeks ago but I seem to have hit a wall with drinking, in general. One day I'll crave a bourbon and Coke and then the next a light beer, then I won't feel like anything for several days. I've tried drinking a few things neat but seem to be fatigued, palate-wise and don't want to waste it. Work and some family issues haven't made it any easier, but me and Ryan's concert season starts later this week and that usually jumpstarts and promotes social drinking, so maybe I'll get my act together soon. Cheers.
Lee: on a related topic---Paul and I are first across SDT round 1 finish line. Smart money was on you to cross first, and either me or Scott last.
I have a feeling the 25 will be in my glass soon. Right after a certain Rare(er) bottling
Price-wise the Rare is an easy winner. The 25 had more of an aura around it, but I'd keep Rare on hand all the time if I could afford it.
Boy, you guys are making me feel better about some of my impulsiveness. :)
How was this in comparison to the 25? Personally, I liked the 25 over this
