Typically a vodka and gin drinker, this was the first small batch bourbon I ever tried. It was at a bourbon tasting while at a conference in Lexington KY. I was impressed enough to buy a bottle and used it get past the "wall" as described in Lew Bryson's book Tasting Whiskey (well it took a bit more than that single bottle). Now I'm happily exploring ryes, scotches, and especially maverick whiskeys. But WR will always hold a place in my heart as "my first".

I tasted this bourbon a couple of days ago, and was really impressed! I am a die-hard Scotch drinker, but some bourbons and international malts have caught my attention. Nice review!
