Mashbill: 78/10/12 corn, rye, malted barley. Aged around 9 years (each year/batch differs). Barrel char #3. (Heaven Hill) This is a light sipping whiskey and makes a decent mixer as well.
2006 vintage: 3.6/5.0 when opened, but solid 4.0/5.0 near the end. Barrel 621, bottled in 2015. Barrel 388, bottled in 2016: excellent as soon as it was opened.
Others, however, were not usually so good until being open for a while and some never got all that good. This single barrel seems to range from around a 3.5, to just over a 4, out of 5, and I sometimes find the Evan Williams BiB to be better.
