As Memorial closes, and a nice meal of pecan-smoked steak, decided today to finally enjoy this whisky. Smoke, though not overpowering, greets you and the sweet richness of raisins, vanilla, brown sugar and a touch of nougat and chocolate (like a Milky Way). A rich spiciness opens the palate. A nuttiness dominates once the spicy notes dissipates other whisps of smoke and brown sugar. As it fades, the Talisker smoke stays with you with a touch oak. A lovely, sweeter version of the standard; one to lose you thoughts to and escape. [$65][90/100][Opened: 5/29/16]

Nice. A great way to celebrate the long weekend.
