Laphroaig Lore
Single Malt — Islay, Scotland

Another beautifully balanced whisky from Laphroaig. The interplay of smoke and sherry is beguiling, providing a smooth, leathery mouthful that is neither as overpowering as the distillery's 10-year-old nor as sweet as many a sherried scotch. An aroma of dates and figs lingers in the mouth and the glass. (Drinks by the Dram sample 3/6/16)

@cascode They seem to have enough stock to offer a 15-year-old on their website, so a wider release of that could be forthcoming, but I’m just speculating.
Alternatively, JC could be working up a new NAS series.
@Richard-ModernDrinking Fantastic if the drought has broken, but I’d be surprised. I’d thought it would be the early 20s before Lap stocks had built up to that point again. Maybe they’re just between batches?
Is the end nigh for Lore? I’m seeing it increasingly discounted, including on Laphroaig’s website, where it’s out of stock. And if so, could that mean that there’s a new 15 or even 18-year-old coming to replace it?
