It's good, it's suuuuper smooth, almost no bite..... BUT..... It's also just very boring. Not much flavor, doesn't feel special, def not as good as Macallan. You don't taste any sherry, it's really just the American oak. $65

Blends are rarely sherry bombs. Comparing this to Macallan is pointless. Should be comparing it to Dewers, Walker, Cutty Sark, etc. That said, sherry is evident in the palate, just not overpowering. Considering that the conceit of this whisky is harmony (balance), I think that is suitable. Really, if you want a sherry bomb, grab Edradour, Aberlour, or Red Breast. You'll get little else from those whiskies, though they are flavorsome in their own right.
