First taste was amongst other whiskeys... not a fan. Very sweet and cloying with a strongly medicinal, bitter citrus rind taste. Later, after reading the label and approaching with a different frame of mind, it was much more enjoyable as an aperitif. More comparable with liqueurs or Drambuie than unadultered whiskeys.
