The last of six I tasted at a whisky festival in Belgium. Well prepped for the alcohol and smoke, I mostly get dark fruity sweetness (think blueberry/blackberry), peat, and espresso. And of course a whole pandemonium of smoke, ash and brine. A whisky that's definitely as deep and intense as its namesake.

Wow! I also have some unopened bottles that I'm waiting for the right time to open. I hope I recognize the time when it finally comes. @Pranay - I would love to take you up on your offer. I'll see what I have to share in return.
Matthias---mine is worse than OCD...I tend to have one dram only on a Friday and Saturday or Sunday. Rest of the week it's matcha green tea. So....a bottle lasts me over 6 months...gets boring after a while.
Thanks Jack, bottles like these are out of my student budget as well. I was lucky enough to try this at a festival for only 3,50 euros for a glass. For entire bottles, I must limit myself to entry level whiskys if I want to eat too. @Pranay, thank God I thought I was the only one with an OCD like system for opening bottles.
Jack: I have a bottle that I'll probably open closer to Nov (don't ask---I have a logic). I'd be happy to share a sample then
Matthias-I love your description. It makes me really want to try this one. In my dreams maybe, at four $s it's out of my price range unless I can get a dram at a whisky bar some day.
