@Jan-Kaselitz There are a couple of features that would make Distiller much more useful, and a forum is definitely at the top of the list. Personal blogs would also be great. Next would be some housekeeping to clean up all the mistakes in listings, achieve some regularity, and split batch-variable expressions. A complete code-rewrite would not go astray, for that matter :-)
@Soba45 I remember LeeEvolveds’ review of the 13y and had it on my list until I found out it is nearly impossible to get (anymore) at least here in Germany. Thanks for your time input.
@Jan-Kaselitz Yeah it would be good for more of a forum approach. The thing is with Springbank the extra age statements aren't better per say my favorites have been the mid teen ones 15, 18 and a 13 yr 2003 CS variant. Oh and looked at my actual notes and this was a 4.5 I had it at.
@Soba45 that is exactly what I did on all my first tastes here on Distiller where I only transferred them from a document without any notes. Yeah the owner of my local whisky store also recommended the 15y as well. The 10y makes you interested, the 15y astonishes and the 18y makes addicted. And since it takes a while for me to empty bottles I happily go for the top bottles next right away where the price is only a secondary factor. But just recently for example @jonwilkinson7309 mentioned for the GF12 that he likes it better than the 18y. That why I try to figure this out beforehand. (Man, I wish @Distiller would have a message board section here in the app where people could constructively talk about topics not directly related to specific whisky reviews.)
@Jan-Kaselitz Yeah it was when I first joined the platform I was just keeping scores not notes. It was also in the days where you had to choose between a 4 or 5 rating no 1/4 stars. So highly unlikely to be an actual 5. I have a bottle to open one day but for now I'd reference more complete an accurate views than mine. If you love Springbank character the 15 yr is a cracker. Fair bit cheaper than the 18, over here at least.
Aww, I’m nearly finished with my Springbank 10y bottle and thinking about going a step further with it. And now here we are in your rating list and this 18y sits there with perfect score and no notes. :)
