This is a very light peated whiskey, the color belies its age. Honestly I am not a huge fan of this, the taste falls kind of flat for me. I was intrigued because I love scotch and irish whiskey and i was hoping they could come together nicely here, borrowing some of the Scotch traditions and blending them with the Irish. Unfortunately I don't think they were able to achieve that and what you get is the phenols drowning out the other flavors.
