I suppose this is what the people who made Connemara were going for: sweet toffee, warm, delicate, fruity sweetness (mostly red fruit jam), sweet supple oak notes and a rich creamy roundness, followed by a very strong but delicate peat and a sweet saltiness, but this peat is more sweet than savoury, I really have never tasted anything like this before! Yes, it really is like Connemara... but Connemara 12 Years fails to mix sweetness and peat. Amazing... I prefer the Laphroaig 10 Year, but honestly, it's tough to prefer one over the other.
