I really enjoy the butterscotch on the nose and some of those sweeter caramelized sugar notes but I don’t think it really follows through on the palate. I think those sweeter notes are coming from using the blue corn which I think I may prefer to the standard yellow but this whiskey maybe has not been aged long enough to clear up those more astringent notes. A strong effort but not my choice.
