I tried The Botanist at a Manhattan liquor store tasting event. I must say that I was left disappointed. The botanicals were so light as to be virtually undetectable. To it's advantage, that would make The Botanist very versatile as a neutral spirit, but not as a gin. Call it what you will. Therefore the price point was set too high.
