I picked this bottle because I wanted to experience the rum component of it. Price was 80 which in my opinion is a little high for what you get. I would like to see it go for 60 maybe.
Nose: you immediately sense the rum. Caramel, sweet and fruity.
Pallate: low viscosity, creamy vanilla, buttery and sweet. Well rounded body overall but not complex. If you are looking for a complex experience, try the balvenie 21.
Finish: warm, lingering. I did feel the potency of the alcohol at the end as i did get a burn on the edges.
Tip: add three to four drops of water. The nose will be a lot smoother as well as the pallate. It will allow you to enjoy the flavor ot the whisky better by softening the potency of the alcohol.
