Drinking neat: Salty, honeydew melon, lemon meringue, chile spice, dessert wine, fruitcake, charcoal, lighter fluid. Drinking this right after Hazelburn, I'm surprised how poorly it compares. Springbank's nose is nice but Hazelburn's is glorious. Hazelburn's flavor is rich and full while Springbank's seems slightly watered down. Hazelburn's finish is sharp and hot while Springbank's is easy drinking but kind of watery. Overall Springbank is a nice easy drinking whiskey. Worth a try, not a buy.

Weird, I made exactly the opposite observation: While Springbank 10 impressed me in every possible aspect, Hazelburn 12 tasted a bit flat and uneventful. Probably a good example, that palates and desired flavor profiles are different from individual to individual!
