Laphroaig An Cuan Mór
Single Malt — Islay, Scotland

One of my favourite Laphroaigs besides the 10 year. Takes what I love about the 10 year and gives it an extra 8% kick which I like. Update: I opened another bottle of this with some friends along with several other bottles and it was for me the favourite of the night. Still I don't rate as high as I used to when I was first starting off with tasting whiskey, I think 4.25 is a fair enough rating. Update 2: The more I work my way through whilst I still like this dram and the pure sweet iodine notes it feels a bit one dimensional in a way.

@1901 I’m so sorry...I stopped reading after “Tenerife”...started daydreaming of the Canary Islands 😀
@PBMichiganWolverine @Soba45 thanks for the steer. I'm on the duty free island of Tenerife and haven't seen Lore around. Might pick up JW Green and Ardbeg 10 for the same overall price instead.
@Soba45 @1901 totally agree with Soba. If you get the opportunity, choose the Lore over this one
@1901 I'd choose the Lore over this if you can get it. I paid closer to 50 euros which was fair. 65 is getting a bit high and probably wouldn't splash out but i rarely buy full bottles these days..to much to work through :-)
@Soba45, @LeeEvolved, @cascode I have the opportunity of getting this for €65 (USD73). Worth a pop in your opinion?
It's very reasonably priced via duty free. Paid around $70 USD a bottle. You can get it here in the retail stores but at a 50% premium. Good luck finding a bottle:-)
Another Laphroiag travel exclusive I'd love to get my hands on at some point in the near future. Cheers.
