@leeevolved @Generously_Paul The festival is pretty much labour of love non-profit from what I can make out as I can't see how they make money. Outside the vendors themselves it seems to be staffed by volunteers to a certain degree. Its not a VIP session like you guys went to. There are some top shelf drams but not a smorgasbord. They sell 1000 tickets per day but no where near that number was there at any one time. People pop in and out, attend special sub sessions, or just don't turn up both days. I'd say more like 500 or even less as there was nearly 60 stalls and very little if any waiting at any. I'll be back 2020 for sure!
@Generously_Paul - yeah, but isn’t that the American way?
$90 for 10 hours over 2 days...we got hosed @LeeEvolved
That’s the way to do a festival. Spread out with an extra day if you need it.
@Rick_M @LeeEvolved Yeah they were almost paying me to drink..lol. I think I drank 80 over 10 hours and 2 days so @$90USD that worked out at just over $1 a pop for some seriously great drams. I must have drank about 30-40 times my age! I think (mostly) pausing to take brief notes each time and continuous water meant I felt fine the morning after both days which was a bonus. 5 hours each day was enough though. If it went any longer things would have slowly slipped out of control :-)
@Rick_M - seriously. It’s like walking into your local liquor store and saying “give me a sip of this, this, this...and this. Here’s $30. Thanks.”
@Soba45 - Man, you got your money’s worth at this fest!
