Cherries, caramel, and vanilla notes you would expect from a bourbon are amplified pleasently here by the double oak. The finish is smooth, balanced and not too spicy. I had this neat and really enjoyed it. However, adding ice to this whiskey really intensified the oak spice in a terribly overpowering way.
