Nose of cinnamon buns with apricot jam and rum-like raisin. Mouthfeel begins a bit thin and the flavor sweet, but it is quickly accompanied with dried fruit and pine nuts. Good sherry finish that stays with you quite a while. I'm normally not a fan of sherry bombs like Glenfarclas, but this expression is well-balanced. Its gentle, rich nature feels appropriate with calming music like Baloney Again from Mark Knopfler.

Great review, I've had the 10 and 25 year Glenfarclas and enjoyed them both. Slainte, Lagavulin is like a warm smoky hug...Corryvreckan is like a peaty punch in the face. My favorite scotch
Excellent idea! Must be a peaty whisky. Lagavulin 16 would also fit quite well. A legend of a whisky and a legend of a song.
Thanks Slàinte! Brothers in Arms is mystical, ethereal, melancholic, profound. Ardbeg Corryvrekkan comes to mind, its smoke like these mist-colored mountains, and the pleasant heat like baptisms of fire.
Great review... any malt suggestion for Brothers in Arms? Cheers!
