An interesting dram from Arran. Nose starts off a bit weak, but the palette is where it comes alive with flavors of salted caramel, brine, and chocolate—-all in layers. Would’ve been almost like a Talisker if it had that peppery kick as well. Would I buy a full bottle? Yes...if it was under $100.

@Rick_M - I haven’t noticed any comments missing or timeline issues- the whole app is running really slow tonight, but I’m thinking that’s a server issue. Beta has been almost flawless IMO.
@PBMichiganWolverine @LeeEvolved @mikael - are you folks seeing issues with the beta software? Your/these responses are not showing on my feed. They should based on timeline. I considered it for a few days. By law the whisky has to be bottled before it can leave Scotland. They can arrange bottling & printing companies for shipping and labeling. There are also UK taxes to deal with. In the end it seemed price prohibitive. With all that whisky, you would be forced to sell on secondary market or through distributors. If you are going to go through all that trouble, you could buy casks now from any of the countless distilleries willing to sell.
@Rick_M an entire cask?!? What would you do with it?!!? Maybe bottle your own
@Rick_M - buying entire casks. We know who has the money now...
@PBMichiganWolverine - Arran is building a new distillery on the south end of the island to produce peated whisky. White Stag members can buy a full cask of whisky from their first year if production to be aged a minimum of 10 years then bottled with your own labels. Should I exercise my option? :)
