When Macallan said that they were going to target millennials with this scotch, they weren't kidding. This is a lot sweeter than the sherry and fine oak 12y/o's. This whisky is very sweet on the nose and on the palate it tastes like a mix of the sherry 12y/o and a Glenlivet 18 (aka a boat load of fruitcake), so unless fruitcake is your thing stick to the sherry 12 y/o which costs less, has a longer finish and is less spicy.
