Jura Diurachs' Own 16 Year
Single Malt — Islands, Scotland

Nose: musty in a not entirely pleasant way. Some cream soda vanilla, stewed apples, even spiced cider.
Palate: dangerously smooth, oak spices, plums, old fashioned dry ginger ale.
Finish: Longer than expected, But also woodier and quite bitter.
I preferred this without water, which only seemed to dull its positive attributes. Mostly uninspiring.
Dry glass: sweet lightly toasted white bread.

Strangely enough PB&J Minnesota Honey-Badger, I enjoyed the 10 year 'Origin' quite a bit, and would much prefer it to this! PS - Pranay, if that new nick is a sporting reference, please forgive me, as I'm clueless with televised athletics! Lol!
Jura's a weird little distillery. From what I know, their older versions are really good (and expensive). And their younger ones are really bad. Great go-to-market strategy...make your products either really expensive, or really bad.
Maybe not Paul! Because for the low, low price of trading almost any partial bottle of whisky YOU TOO can have the disappointment of Jura Diurach's Own 16! ACT NOW!
After having the 10 year Origins and reading a few reviews of their other expressions I have a fair amount of certainty that my Jura experience is over.
Willing to trade this for almost any other bottle of whisky... exactly 2/3 of bottle left. Please email me gents: [email protected]
Seems as if the range of Jura whiskies has a hard time with the enthusiasts!
