This was my first and so far only japanese whisky. Had the chance to try it while at a Ramen shop with some friends (if you're in vienna, check out Karma Ramen, good food and a handful of nice japanese whiskys).
On the nose I get a hint of vanilla, a lot of dried plums, dates and some figs, all with honey and buttery notes.
The taste is again honey, dried fruits (still get a lot of plums here), some herbs, slight banana and some spicyness that I assume could be oak.
The sweetness stays with you and just gives you a satisfied feeling. If this is any indication for japanese whiskys, I'm in for a ride. Glad I could get my hands on a bottle. Definatly recommend this.
