Fairly peated, with campfire smoke, brine and leathery notes on the nose. Big, warm, and robust mouthful with a delicious combination of sweet and saltiness. Following suit, a bold medley of tobacco, ash, tar, stone fruit, black pepper and cinnamon follow on the palate. The finish is long, smoky and lingers on with a pleasantly sweet aftertaste. Simply fantastic.

Wow...I didn't realize Canadian had such substantial differences than US in alcohol shipment. Yeah...at that point, makes no sense to ship.
@Pranay : Great price, but I'd have to get it shipped to a US forwarding address, stay for a mininum of 48 hours and respect the 1.14L (38 oz) limit on spirits per person to avoid paying duties to the Canadian government which would essentially erase any discount. At that point, might as well purchase a bottle I can't find here... first world problems :)
Camardicus---at that price, you're better off getting it from Master of Malt for $85, order a few more samples (since shipping on samples is essentially free if you order a bottle), and pay for shipping at $45
@LeeEvolved : Unfortunately, this bottle is still selling for $200 CAD ($164 USD) in Montreal :(
The best part of this is the fact that prices have dropped for it. I've found it online for under $100 now. It can be had for about $10 more than Triple Wood. That's the best deal on a Laphroaig IMO.
Great review! So much hype around this one, I am going to have pick up a bottle!
It truly is a masterpiece
